May 27, 8:30 a.m. CT: Getting Connected
This Global Gopher Experience session will introduce you to New Student Orientation, the most powerful way to connect with fellow students and campus resources. We’ll talk about what to expect with your course registration, next steps, housing selection, and how to make the most of the Orientation experience. We’ll also share about our Recreation and Wellness programs that are here to prepare you to arrive and stay healthy as a #FutureGopher.

It’s time to start packing! Are you excited yet? Maybe you still have looming questions? This is the perfect session to help you prepare for travel, entering the United States and starting your University of Minnesota Twin Cities journey. We want you to start your experience off on the right foot when you arrive, so join us for this pre-departure session.

We’ll tell you all about our home state and the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in this session that answers the question “Why Minnesota?” We’ll also go over what to expect for your next steps in the process, and the benefits of living and learning on campus.

You’ll also have the experiences and obtain the skills needed to find meaningful internships, engage in cutting-edge research, get ready for graduate school, or find that perfect job after graduation.
This Global Gopher Experiences session will highlight the resources and opportunities outside the classroom that you’ll have immediate access to at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, including our 1,000+ student clubs and organizations, robust career services, and numerous opportunities to get involved.
